As 2022 draws to a close, the music NFT industry is still optimistic

One component of Web3 has resisted such negative market pressure, despite the savagery of the recent crypto slump: music NFTs. The sector is now valued at a staggering $1.2 billion (roughly), with an expected value of $4.24 billion by 2032. (per Market Decipher).

As per statistics from Web3 music portal Sound.xyz, music NFT mints appear to have doubled in each of the previous two months, while December’s figures are on course to surpass both, contrary to what many may expect about long-lasting downturn markets (such as this year’s).

In addition, there have been a lot of music-related Web3 releases during the last several weeks, which this post will now explore.

NFT Collection entitled “A Hard Working Man”

The two-time Grammy Award-winning producers “The Avila Brothers,” “Snoop Dogg,” and “Billy Ray Cyrus” have created the three-tiered NFT compilation “A Hard Working Man,” which concentrates on the standard American occupations.

Here, the cartoon PFP NFTs show Snoop and Billy Ray in a variety of “conventional” occupations, such as farmers, mechanics, construction workers, etc.

The NFTs’ intricate and well-executed artworks are accompanied by a variety of music-related utilities centered around the two symbols, including access to IRL and metaverse concert tickets, backstage passes, member events, limited-edition wearables, and future slots on the allowlist.

Animal Concerts, a leader in live events with the purpose to transform fan experiences and democratize the music business by utilizing Web3 technologies like NFTs, virtual reality, and cryptocurrency, is the source of the collection, whose allowlist is now accessible.

Busta Rhymes, Alicia Keys, and Future are just a few of the well-known musicians with whom the platform has previously worked.

The first “Standalone NFT Audio Reading Player” from Winamp
Old-school Windows media player Winamp has announced that the most recent upgrade to its contemporary music streaming platform would let users play music NFTs, nine years after its parent firm stopped operating.

Here, users may connect their MetaMask wallets to browsers that support Windows 11 and play audio NFT files using the platform’s first “standalone NFT audio reading player.”

The functionality, which is now compatible with Polygon and Ethereum NFTs, will get a further update in January with the addition of a cross-platform creation service.
